Angus Fisher in collaboration with Nicholas Pounder
has created a collection of engravings with facing essays
representing creatures of fable, myth and superstition. Highly
renowned book artist Petr Herel’s Gaspard de la nuit –The Night
and its Wonders showcases the artist’s masterful and thought
provoking etchings, at once figurative and abstract.

Parramatta Artists Studios (PAS) invites applications for 2018 Studios for 6 and 12 month tenancy. Studios are available from December 2017 to December 2018.

The La Cité Internationale des Arts Paris Residency 

The Onslow Storrier National Art School Paris Studio is located at La Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and has been made possible through the generosity of Annette Onslow and Tim Storrier. The studio is located on the Right Bank in Rue de L’Hôtel de Ville in the 4th arrondissement overlooking the river Seine, near many commercial and public galleries and only a short walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. There are 270 studios that house artists, musicians and writers from around the world. There are four three-month residencies available in 2018.

Who can apply:
•    Recent National Art School BFA, BFA Hons, GDFA or MFA alumni (graduating in the previous 5 years)
•    Final year BFA or MFA students with a demonstrated history of high academic achievement;
•    Current National Art School Academic staff (including sessional staff)
•    Applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

The British School at Rome Residency

The British School at Rome is a centre of interdisciplinary research excellence in the Mediterranean supporting the full range of arts, humanities and social sciences. This residency has been made possible through the generosity of our donors, particularly Jennifer Dowling. The British School at Rome is just north of Rome’s historic centre in the Valle Giulia which separates the Parioli district from the Borghese Gardens. The successful applicant will receive studio accommodation. There is one three-month residency available in 2018, from 3 April to 28 June.

Who can apply:
•    Recent National Art School MFA alumni (graduating in the previous 5 years)
•    Final year MFA students with a demonstrated history of high academic achievement;
•    Current National Art School Academic staff (including sessional staff)
•    Applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
